Perfection in the asana brings Manolaya, complete absorption of the body in the mind. – HS Arun
Yoga is all about experiencing and achieving perfection with consistency, patience, and a well-guided approach.

Renowned Yoga icon Sri BKS Iyengar mentioned in his book, Light on Yoga Sutras of Patanjali
“Whenever an asana is performed it should be done with a feeling of firmness, steadiness, and endurance in the body; goodwill in the intelligence of head; and awareness and delight in the intelligence of the heart”

We all put in efforts to master asana and attempt to overcome our physical and mental impediments. Isn’t it? At one point it seems so difficult that we almost give up. Have you encountered this situation? Well, before doing the asana, it is necessary to prepare for it and gradually make your way into the present moment, consciously experiencing and holistically involving and evolving with each attempt.

Perfection in the asana brings Manolaya, complete absorption of the body in the mind. Sri BKS Iyengar empowered people by his innovative approach of introducing props like blocks, blankets, bolsters, belts, and chair to alleviate the problems and elevate the yoga practice. Resonating the teachings and philosophy of his guru, H.S. Arun has scripted his experience and innovative application of yoga prop- chair in his practice and comprehends its scientific relevance on strengthening, expanding, and rejuvenating every part of the body during asanas.

His book Experiment and Experience on the Chair speak volumes about his expertise and profound research in redefining yoga practice with "Star Prop - Chair”. It is a boon for all levels -if you are a beginner, advance your practice or mentor other yogis. It is a complete guide that talks about the effect of each asana on our system, the do’s and don’ts, and the guidelines of practice. The most striking feature of the book is the comprehensible way of presenting each category of asanas and their variations like forward bends, backward bends, standing poses, inversions, twists, and technique of balancing encompassing the sequence and breath. Moreover, he has used different areas of a house as metaphors to define the role and importance of parts of our body and how they work as transformational tools in practice.

The author also compares the natural process of achieving relaxation with the flowering process to iron out stress from the fabric of life. This book contains amazing insights, catering to all age groups, and wider reach with publication in 7 languages.

About the Author:

Before 1978, he was a young yoga practitioner with extreme flexibility and was so consumed in his practice that he was misguided that the giddiness he suffers during his practice is actually the rise of  Kundalini. Ajith Kumar, a great yoga practitioner introduced him to Iyengar Yoga.
Arun ji believes that for any practitioner to come close to this ideal asana state, the intelligent use of props is essential. Explore how a chair can be fulfilling to achieve the benefit of an asana in a meditative state, Get your copy now
