Vaidyaratnam Ayurveda Museum, is first of its kind in the history of Ayurveda that narrates the story of Ayurveda, its origin and evolution. It has been ingeniously designed to provide audio-visual tour of the age old history of evolution of this science. The system of Ayurveda has undergone an ocean of changes in the subsequent era of Samhita & Samgraha and in the Museum, a visitor is taken on a journey through all these historic periods. 

An added attraction is a 3D gallery to showcase the developments in the manufacturing of Ayurvedic medicine as well as the treatment techniques evolved over the ages.

The Museum presents before you:

  • Sculptures of Lord Dhanwanthari, Adi Sankaracharya, Lord Buddha, Acharya Vagbhata, etc., along with due prayers for their blessings
  • Audio Visual shows and presentations on Ayurveda in a ‘Natyagruham’
  • The evolution of Ayurveda heritage, right from mythological to the contemporary period
  • The classical treatment procedures of Ayurveda, along with Kerala specialites which was followed from yester years, and the initiatives to preserve and develop them for the future generations
  • A picture gallery and a collection of specimens of more than 300 medicinal plants also depicting their medicinal properties
  • A ‘Smruthi Mandapam’ showcasing the Ashtavaidaya Eledath Thaikattu Moss family ancestry
  • An Acharya Gruham in remembrance of the founder of Vaidyaratnam – Ashtavaidyan Padma Shri E. T. Neelakandhan Mooss
  • A library comprising of a vast collection of ancient literatures, scriptures and manuscripts from traditional Ayurveda, including the ones used by the Ashtavaidyas
  • A digital library, along with a big CD collection on Ayurveda
