Yoga & Cafe in Rishikesh

Isn’t after a good practice on the mat, belly deserves good food. Rishikesh is loaded with yoga centres and café, for a new traveller finding good in both, is not that easy. Wandering in the city, I found some awesome café for you to binge and boost your free spirit.

Ira’s Kitchen

Awesome café that serves home cooked healthy food. Service is quite slow as Ira’s mom is only chef here. Ira is the little girl who plays with every guest in the café.

It’s closed on Wednesday

Madras Café

Planning to binge on south Indian delicacies in northern India, this is the place. They have got knack to make fermented fluffy rice idli & coconut chutney.

Shahi Paneer is also one delicacy that tops my “want list” here

Bistro Nirvana

This is located in high bank area near Bhandari’s cottage. You get everything here from meat to meatless, from gluten to non- gluten. I was always accompanied to this place with my big gang and never disappointed with food or service.

Ramana’s Organic Café

I call this place as Monkey’s den. Organic food and its aroma makes you fetish. Food look’s beautiful and it makes you feel the same when goes in gut.

Don’t worry monkeys are harmless

Little Buddha Café and Zorba Organic Café

Nice and quite popular cafes of Rishikesh, always crowded. I believe, here, only early yogis can enjoy ‘view’ with food, who gets chance to be seated on the chairs facing Ganges.

I have deliberately mentioned both café in common row as I found their ambience, view and food almost same.

One should always visit popular cafés in the city

Café Okaeri

Did you go to Café Okaeri? This is the first question when two travellers talks about café in Tapovan. Amazing Japanese food.

60’ Café or Beatles Café

Best hideout, you will never know when you pass this café while seeking for it. It’s in the walking lane (paidal marg – Hindi colloquial), 60 themed café, dedicated to Beatles and terrace with a view not to be missed.

Quite Dramatic View.

La-So-Va Fresh Kitchen

Ambience and aroma (of food), both are magnificent. I heard so much about this place from my friends that I went to see this place and found it refreshing.

Yogis, this café is on top of café coffee day

A Tavola Con Te

Time to splurge on some wood fired oven pizza in an open garden where you see rabbit hopping. Italian cuisine at its best standards.

Don’t miss the fantastic Tiramisu for the dessert.
