Ashtanga Yoga for Beginners

It's a two-week programme introducing beginners to ashtanga yoga practice. The programme will cover

  • Standing and seated postures
The programme is aimed at helping practitioners learn a simple daily yoga routine.


Arathi Menon
Arathi was introduced to yoga asanas as a little girl when she saw her maternal granduncle in a sirsasana which fascinated her. She started practicing yoga as a teenager, learning first from books and pictures of yoga schools. She started her ashtanga yoga practice at a yoga studio in Bangalore. On a whim and a desire to pursue the method under the guidance of Guruji Sharath Jois, she moved to Mysore in the year 2016. She was authorised to teach the method by Guruji in Feb 2019. A journalist and writer passionate about environment and stories of human interest, she continues to enthusiastically imbibe lessons in yoga, humility, and gratitude from Guruji Sharath Jois.
