About Course

This four-week course offers a profound personal experience, designed to build a firm foundation of inner discipline and provide the proficiency to teach yoga to others. The essence of yoga is learned through a combination of repeated practices and inspirational lessons. The approach to teaching is personal, focusing on the individual student. Among the many benefits students report are increased strength and flexibility, greater spiritual awareness, improved power of concentration, enhanced self-esteem and a newfound sense of self-discipline. 

Upon successful completion of the course students receive the Certificate of the Sivananda Yoga Vidya Peetham. This training course fulfils the requirements for the Yoga Alliance 200-hour certification, for which graduates of the program are welcome to register.

Pre requisites

  • This course is open to all students who wish to deepen their knowledge and application of some of the highest teachings of yoga.
  • Participants do not need to be yoga teachers.
  • Mastery of any yoga practice is not necessary, only your sincere desire for knowledge and your commitment to personal growth.
  • Even if one does not wish to be a yoga teacher, one may attempt this course for a deeper understanding of the philosophies as well as for the intense purification experience and for all-round development of the personality.


Swami Govindananda: With 30 years of experience teaching Yoga and Vedanta philosophy, graduating a few thousands of fledgling yoga teachers, Swami Govindananda Saraswathi is a gifted and charismatic teacher. Much loved by his students for his unique style and humor, Swami Govindananda is a rare jewel of integrity and truth, with hundreds of disciples throughout the world.

Swami Tatwarupananda Saraswati: He took the Yoga teacher training course at Sivananda Ashram, Neyyar Dam & the Sadhana Intensive course in Uttar Kashi. Since then Swamiji has taught Bhagavad Gita classes during teacher training courses and Raja Yoga Sutras & Sanskrit during advanced teacher training courses to students in Sivananda ashrams in India.

Mani Raman: He is a dynamic, inspirational teacher of Yoga and meditation who brings his wisdom, high energy and humor to every class he teaches. Growing up in India, where he met and learned from many Yogis, saints, and spiritual teachers, Mani developed a strong foundation deeply rooted in the Vedic tradition. He took to the practice of Yoga at the age of 12 and continued with Eastern philosophy and religious studies. He devoted himself full-time to Yoga and joined the gurukul of the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centres at the age of 21. 

There will be also Yogacharya Sudarshan & many other teachers to assist especially during the Hatha Yoga classes.
