Hi,

It is suggested to practice pranayama in a positively charged pranic environment. If pollution levels are bad, choose a good time when it is low (maybe in the early morning) for the practice. Place is as important, find a garden space or somewhere in nature or just sitting under a tree or around plants and cultivating a relationship of breath with them will go a long way irrespective of the pollution.

While practicing dont think about the pollution, focus on the practice and the breath. Where the attention goes, the prana flows.

Practices like Kapalbhati Kriya before the practice will help to remove the impurities and prepare you for pranayama better.

Enjoy the practice

Thank you

Pranayama helps increase your lung capacity to breathe fresh air. However, I would recommend you practice Pranayama in enclosed settings like your home to reap its benefits.

Thank you Harshvardhan & Yoga_Depression123 for your answers. I cannot do Pranayama in a closed setting but under the tree looks like a fair option. Yes agree with Harshvardhan that at this time I should focus on the practice.
