Arches of Foot - Everything you need to know

Arches of Foot are ergonomically designed to distribute the body's weight efficiently and absorb shock while we stand, run or walk. In yoga, we are asked to have strong firm feet for leg balancing postures like Vrikshasana or Ardha Chandra Asana but from where we draw this firmness to stand strong and straight. In order to design a yoga sequence for fallen arches (flat feet), high arches, plantar fasciitis, and arch strain, a yoga instructor or practitioner must have a solid understanding of the anatomy of the foot and arches. The mechanism for balance is created by well-formed arches in the feet. The foot's arches are crucial for supporting body weight. Dr. Vineeta Ketkar's two-day zoom program aims to inform participants on the architecture of the foot arches, the muscles and ligaments that support them, and a yoga pose that can help with a variety of potential issues.

The foot's arches are dynamic and flexible rather than immobile structures. Depending on the requirements of various activities and surfaces, they can modify their stiffness and shape. Therefore, Dr. Vineeta Ketkar will also enlighten with the season's effect on the arches in this workshop's second season.  

You can use your arches to their fullest extent if you understand their anatomy. Owning that range of motion is essential to arch strengthening. You will be able to create a solid foundation from the ground up with the help of this program.

FAQs Related to hellomyyoga’s Online Yoga Courses

Not exactly but we prefer if you have a beginners level yoga knowledge and studied human physiology in your school education.
It will be bit challenging for you to understand subsequent sessions as each session has continuous learning. Also, we understand that participants have other task to take care of, therefore we will be sharing video of each session within 12 - 14 hours after each session completes.
The way the program is curated by the expert, all the pointers are very well explained during the LIVE session, all the questions are addressed so that if you are interested to delve deeper into the subject, you are equipped with correct information and go in the right direction.
We need basic science education which you have followed until secondary school. This program is designed for fitness experts, yoga instructors and practitioners in a way that individual with basic education can gain insights into the science of the body.
This program teaches Yoga Instructors, Therapists, and Yoga Teachers about how the Anatomy and Physiology of Arches works. Arches should be considered when designing sequences involving balancing, leg strengthening, or spinal work, given that the body is composed of a stack of organs balanced by a network and mesh of connective tissues.
