five things to do before 2022 ends

Now’s the time to pause before putting down roots in January—if you haven’t already. You don’t need to spend New Year’s Eve stressing about what resolutions are left to be made; instead, use it as a chance to consider where you’ve been this year and how far you’ve come. Maybe take some time today to write down all of your accomplishments since Jan 1st, 2022–you deserve it!

No achievement is too big or too small – even getting out of bed counts as a huge accomplishment sometimes! Remembering what has worked well will also help motivate you to focus on making things better that lie ahead of us.

A new year will be here before we know it, and with that comes a bit of pressure to accomplish new things and responsibilities, so today we are sharing a few things to do before 2023 rolls around.

Few Things to do Before 2022 Ends:

1. Make a Gratitude list

2022 may not have been an easy journey for all of us this year, but surely something good happened for at least some of us. Take a seat and make a list of the things that made your life worth living for this past year. Maybe you met someone new who became very important to you? Or maybe you discovered opportunities that allowed you to thrive?

Make sure to remind yourself of everything that went right to put yourself in a positive mood. Despite how fast time flies, there are still many great things that happen every day, every week, or every month – take just a couple minutes out of your day to think about these happy thoughts.

You don’t need fancy words or an eloquent sentence structure; they don’t matter when what matters is filling up space in your brain with words reminding you why you keep going no matter what happens (or doesn’t).

2. Create a list of all of your Accomplishments

These don’t have to be things like getting a new job, getting engaged/married, having a baby, buying a new house, etc.; these accomplishments are smaller but just as important. Maybe this week you paid your credit card bills early without fail or went out with friends last night instead of lying on the couch; maybe you found time each day to work out or meditate or call someone close who needs support. Every accomplishment is important and deserves recognition.

3. Go somewhere you’ve never been

Pick up a new hobby this weekend. Travel to a different country for the first time. Attend a local festival you’ve never been to before. Whatever it may be, go out of your comfort zone, spend less time sitting around doing nothing, and more time living life to the fullest extent!

4. Spend time with your Family & Furry companions

Spending time together as a family is important to ensure that we build strong and lasting relationships over the course of life. Though it might seem difficult at times, it’s still worth putting in effort for those moments when you can be present with each other–even if just for a little bit. Sit together and watch something or go out on a pet-friendly small vacation, or find something that everyone will like.

5. Spend time with Yourself

On the first few days of January, there will be plenty of time to celebrate loudly. Before this starts, take some time for yourself and reflect on what you’ve done in the past year. This holiday allows you to start anew and make plans for future events.

And At Last,

Don’t forget to pat your back for all things you have done, your younger self thought you couldn’t, for all the chaos you went through without giving up on yourself, and for all those times when you didn’t settle for less!

Happy New Year!
