Sometimes you’re not breathing. Sometimes you’re breathing too fast. In daily life, the breath often becomes shallow, restless, or unnoticed—especially under stress, emotional strain, or pressure. Pranayama is not breath manipulation. It is the refinement of awareness—where breath becomes a conscious bridge from outer activity to inner steadiness.

Pranayama is described in classical yogic wisdom and referenced across scriptural traditions including the Bhagavad Gita and the Upanishads. In Patanjali’s Ashtanga Yoga, Pranayama is the 4th anga—a bridge between the external and internal limbs. When the breath becomes steady and subtle, the mind naturally becomes prepared for deeper inner practice.

Beyond breathing exercises, you will understand how the Fourth Anga of Yoga steadies the nervous system and prepares the mind for meditation—naturally, without force.
