Breathing is the process through which organisms exchange gases with their environment. In humans, this process involves the respiratory system, comprising the nose, mouth, trachea, bronchi, lungs, and diaphragm.
Yoga and breathing are closely related, and breath control is a fundamental aspect of yoga practise. The integration of breath with physical postures, meditation, and mindfulness is a key principle in many forms of yoga. Every yoga instructor should understand the anatomy and physiology of breathing to help their students achieve the ultimate goal of well-being. With this program, you will gain an understanding of the respiratory system and the factors that affect the rate and depth of respiration.
