In our upcoming Instagram Live, Rita Date,  journalist and nutritionist, will discuss how current dietary and lifestyle changes that are not native to the Indian subcontinent are contributing to obesity, a pressing national issue. We are talking about inflammation and cancer, but what is the root cause? We're the country where organic workouts, like Surya Namaskar and open arena exercises, became popular.

In 2005, Rita Date began freelance writing about nutrition and food. However, most media outlets would not publish the truth about the perils of processed foods. She then started the website www.realfoodindia.com to share the truth about processed foods and fast foods, which led to the publication of her book "What's for Lunch." The book delves into India's rising obesity rate and why you should be eating homemade food.

In "What's on your platter?" IG Live, Rita Date with Shivani Gupta, hellomyyoga engage in a captivating discussion about mindful practices that we should prioritize, as well as a simple approach to reintroduce Indian-ness into our lives.
